A book nerd gets reincarnated as a dog and immediately discovers his new owner is wielding scissors like they're stage props in a slapstick routine. The premise is so aggressively stupid that it stops trying to justify itself, which frees the show to just pile absurdity on top of absurdity without apologizing. If you laugh at the sheer commitment to this bizarre setup, you're the audience this was built for; if you expect coherence or restraint, you'll hate it within three minutes.

Harumi Kazuhito, a high school boy who lives for books, is killed during a robbery at a cafe while protecting his favorite novelist, Natsuno Kirihime, from being shot. A supernatural bookworm brings him back as a dachshund. Stuck in a body that can't read, he suffers through a life without books until a sadistic woman with a pair of scissors offers to help him, and she turns out to be Kirihime herself. Now her pet, Harumi has to put up with an author who throws tantrums, wields scissors like a weapon and enjoys tormenting him. The result is an absurd supernatural comedy with a dash of mystery, built on the irony of a devoted reader finally meeting his idol and mostly wanting to get away from her.
