A hundred-year-old ghost child narrating her own oblivion with zero self-awareness is the entire joke, and it never gets old. Komachi doesn't learn lessons or grow; she just keeps showing up in people's rooms, causing problems, treating it all like a punchline to a joke only she understands. Komachi is a small ghost girl who died in Japan's Meiji period and has wandered the earth as a spirit for more than a hundred years. She turns up in the room of a young girl named Anko, and the pair keep getting caught up in one adventure after another involving other ghosts and demons. Told in short episodes across a long 115-episode run, the series mixes comedy, everyday slice-of-life moments and supernatural mischief.
