Goku and Kuririn get sent into hell itself for a shot at real training, and the movie treats that setup with actual stakes instead of just an excuse for spectacle. The castle is genuinely hostile, traps that kill, enemies that don't monologue, a princess you have to protect while fighting through layers of supernatural thugs. It's a mission that demands strategy, not just punching harder, and for once the young Goku actually has to think.

Goku and Krillin get an assignment from Master Roshi: bring back the sleeping princess from Lucifer, and he will accept them as his students. The job turns out to be far more dangerous than it first looked. The 1987 Dragon Ball movie blends action, adventure and comedy with supernatural elements as the two hopefuls set out to earn their place under their would-be master.
