The entire genre of "strong guy wakes up and tests everyone" lives or dies on whether you believe the threat is real, and Beerus doesn't let you doubt it for a frame. Earth isn't in danger because the plot needs tension. Earth is in danger because a being who has destroyed civilizations is curious about a rumor. Goku finally meets someone who doesn't care about his legacy, his will, or his heart.

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is an upgraded version of the Dragon Ball Super TV anime, a project that has been in development for several years. Updated visuals rework every scene, with the fights getting the most attention, so the action feels more immersive. The goal is a closer and more detailed rendering of Akira Toriyama's original work, delivered as an action adventure series with a level of quality meant to please viewers.
