Hellsing's creator takes everything learned about violence and paces it into 24 minutes of pure tactical chaos. Historical figures torn from their deaths get dropped into a fantasy war with no briefing, no mercy, no time to process what's happening to them. You watch soldiers who survived their own apocalypses immediately recognize apocalypse when they see it again, and start winning anyway.

Drifters is a short OVA adapted from the Drifters manga and released in 2012 as a single episode. It was packaged with the tenth volume of the Hellsing Ultimate OVAs, the last release in that series. The genre labels put it in action and fantasy territory with supernatural elements.
