The comedy lives in the gap between magical girl convention and what actually happens when you put Illya through situations that'd make a normal mahou shoujo series implode. These shorts know exactly which rules to break and which to milk for absurdist timing. If you've watched the main series far enough to understand what 3rei did to the tone, these specials are the show finally letting itself laugh at the wreckage.

Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 3rei!! Short Anime is a set of six brief specials that were packaged with the Blu-ray and DVD releases of 3rei!!. The shorts carry comedy, ecchi and magical girl labels, so viewers can expect light, playful bonus material in the magical girl mold.
