A fox who actually loves games gets dropped into a game world with four gods who have no idea what they're doing, and suddenly his one skill matters. Jiuyue isn't the chosen one, he's the one who finally understands the rules everyone else is fumbling through. The comfort of a group of immortals being totally lost together crashes hard when the real stakes show up, and you realize the game stopped being fun the moment it became real.

Jiuyue is an ordinary working fox who loves video games. When he and his fellow gods Ao Lie, Nezha, Xiaotian and Xiaoyu stumble by accident into a game world packed with traps, he sees a chance to prove himself. His friends are poor gamers, so he sets out to lead them through the levels. His plan changes abruptly when two top game bosses appear. Meanwhile, the seemingly happy game world hides a looming upheaval that threatens every player, and the little weakling must find his fighting spirit and face his fate with courage. The movie mixes adventure, comedy and fantasy around an underdog fox in a group of gods.
