A boy from 2020 wakes up in a future where humanity stopped existing and the only people left are a family living like it's the Stone Age. The comedy is pure culture shock, watching someone completely addicted to modern convenience get stripped of everything and actually have to participate in survival. Gen doesn't learn a lesson about simplicity or find peace in nature, he's just miserable and hungry, which is exactly what makes it funny.

Gen is a boy who travels through time from the year 2020 to a far-off future in which humanity has died out. He ends up living at the Ganko family home in the Rustling Forest, a place without electricity, gas or running water. There is no television, no smartphone, no convenience store, and no snacks or games to pass the time.
