Anime Like Gdleen
A stranded earthling, a sarcastic robot, and a fairy trapped on a planet ruled by a false god sounds like Saturday morning cartoon setup. The OVA demolishes that promise in its final minutes. SYNOPSIS
Stranded on the mysterious planet Gdleen after a catastrophic malfunction leaves their spacecraft beyond repair, Ryu and MOS, his AI companion, find themselves in a world governed by forces they don't yet understand. Their arrival coincides with a planetary crisis: a self-proclaimed deity named Gavana has seized control of a sacred temple and taken Fana, a gentle Euradonian fairy, hostage for a ritual sacrifice. As conflict erupts across Gdleen over control of this holy site, Ryu faces an impossible choice between focusing on his own survival and rescuing someone who represents his only chance at understanding this alien world. The clock ticks toward an irreversible ceremony while Ryu uncovers troubling questions about Gavana's true nature and motives. What binds this deity to Gdleen's ancient temple? Can Ryu and MOS mount a rescue before Fana becomes collateral damage in a war they never started? The answers demand action from an outsider who has nothing to lose and everything to prove.
