Anime Like Generation of Chaos
Two unrelated stories stacked into one OVA with no reason to exist together. The first half riffs on Pokemon, a trainer who lost his touch trying to save a monster he can no longer control, but strips away spectacle in favor of quiet, contemplative pacing. The second half pivots to a half-demon girl watching her sister slip away from her, a human drama that deserves its own space instead of squeezed between monster-trainer nostalgia. The animation is cheap and inconsistent, recycled where it counts. This exists only because an RPG needed a tie-in, and it shows in every frame.
SYNOPSIS
Chiffon was once a legendary monster trainer, commanding beasts with absolute precision. That reputation crumbles the moment his power vanishes without explanation. Desperate to salvage what remains of his career, he attempts a simple task: escort Hiyokomushi, a massive and docile creature, back to its native home. The journey turns catastrophic when the monster suddenly rampages beyond anyone's control, forcing Chiffon to confront a harsh truth about his lost abilities and whether he can still matter in a world that valued him only for what he could command. Parallel to this crisis, Roze navigates a different kind of danger. As a half-demon in a world hostile to her heritage, she's built a life protecting what matters most: her sister. That sanctuary shatters when fear and prejudice threaten to tear them apart. Both stories collide in a narrative about powerlessness, acceptance, and fighting for survival when your greatest strengths become irrelevant.
