The dinosaur empire never stops coming. Ryo, Musashi, and Hayato don't have time to be friends, they're too busy synchronizing three separate machines into one weapon just to survive the next hour. Getter Robo treats transformation not as a power fantasy but as pure necessity, and every combination is a different kind of desperation.

From deep beneath the Earth's surface, the Dinosaur Kingdom rises with mechanical dinosaurs, intent on wiping out mankind and taking the planet for itself. After one of these machines shoots down a prototype Getter Robo, the Saotome Research Institute turns to the real, combat-ready Getter Robo. The institute is short on pilots, so Ryo Nagare heads to his college to talk martial artist Musashi Tomoe and outcast Hayato Jin into joining him. Together they pilot the Getter Machines against the new threat. The result is 1970s mecha action with a science fiction edge.
