The soundtrack doesn't just accompany the love triangle, it becomes the only language these three have for what they can't say to each other. The band Given, made up of Ritsuka Uenoyama, Mafuyu Satou, Haruki Nakayama and Akihiko Kaji, has reached the final round of the Countdown-fes Amateur Contest, where their live set will be judged. They are excited but uneasy, since they have just one original song. Mafuyu sets out to learn more about music so he can write new songs with real emotional weight, and he finds unexpected help in Ugetsu Murata, the violinist who shares a home with Akihiko and has long been his on-and-off lover. Ugetsu has struggled and failed to let Akihiko go, while Akihiko is caught between old feelings and an unsure path ahead. As the contest approaches, Haruki, who has loved Akihiko for years, starts to question his role in the band and the trust between them. The film is a music drama and romance centered on the tangled bond between these three.
