Mametaro is an adventurous crossbreed dog who can talk, though ordinary people cannot hear a word he says. He adores his owner Iku-chan and his girlfriend Hanako-chan, but he cannot bear Iku-chan's friend Akiyoshi. Told from Mametaro's point of view as warm spring days arrive, the story turns the school and the riverbank, plain neighborhood spots to humans, into a mysterious and seemingly endless world for the little dog and his friends. The four-episode TV series mixes comedy, drama and gentle fantasy with slice-of-life moments.
