Ryou is still in middle school, yet she lives alone in a big apartment, cooking meals that somehow never taste quite right anymore. Her parents work overseas and her beloved grandmother has recently passed away. When her runaway cousin Kirin needs a place to stay while attending cram school, everything shifts. Ryou finds that her cooking seems to improve when the two of them eat together. Food, it turns out, tastes better when it is made for and shared with people you care about. Things get even more appetizing when Ryou's friend Shiina joins their culinary adventures. The result is a gentle slice of life story about cooking, eating and the connection that comes from sharing a meal.
