You've already seen these matches. This OVA makes you watch them again anyway, because it cuts between the court and the players talking about what losing actually cost them. That shift, from the spike to the silence after, is where Haikyu!! reveals something the main series doesn't have time for: what it feels like to be the team that goes home. It's filler that earns itself by remembering that every loss in this show belongs to someone.

Karasuno and Shiratorizawa meet in the Spring Tournament, and this special looks back at the key matches between the two high schools. Alongside the recap of their games on the court, the episode adds interviews with the players themselves. It is a single sports OVA episode, released bundled with the 27th volume of the manga.
