Anime Like High School Jingi
Jouji walks into a school full of delinquents and immediately starts treating discipline like a yakuza turf war, except the only weapon he has is genuine belief that these kids aren't lost yet. The comedy lands because he's an actual criminal trying to be a mentor, not a reformed one pretending, the friction between what he is and what he's trying to do creates something that feels lived-in rather than staged. SYNOPSIS
Jouji, a hot-headed yakuza enforcer, gets stuck with an unlikely assignment: going undercover as a high school teacher. His mission is simple enough, but the school he lands in is anything but orderly. Rowdy students, incompetent staff, and a chaotic atmosphere greet him on day one. Somehow, Jouji has to maintain his cover while keeping the place from falling apart completely. Complications multiply when a rival from his past shows up, forcing Jouji to juggle his yakuza obligations with classroom duties. Add in an attractive colleague who catches his eye, and the whole operation becomes a juggling act between violence, romance, and trying not to blow his cover. The tone swings wildly between slapstick comedy and genuine action sequences, never settling into one mood for too long. What emerges is a scrappy blend of gang politics and school life, where a dangerous man has to navigate both worlds without letting either side discover the truth. It's messy, fun, and completely self-aware about how ridiculous the whole premise is.
