Barely a couple of minutes long, and it still leaves you feeling like you got played. The monologue does everything: bears on unicycles, lions through fire hoops, monkeys juggling bowls, the whole world flattened into a circus act she insists she's content to watch from the cheap seats, cheering on whoever's got the limelight. Then the bang, the burst of color, and the punchline lands. Sparkle was never in the audience. The whole humble side-character routine is just the setup, which is exactly the kind of bit a Masked Fool would run on you with a straight face. Kana Hanazawa voices her like she's already three moves ahead and enjoying a joke you haven't been told yet, and that's the tell: with Aha's crowd, you never get an answer, you get a better performance.

The narrator is glad to stay in the background as a side character, applauding whoever holds the spotlight. Then, at the height of the show, that quiet figure goes off in a bang of firework color, a move the narrator doubts any lead would dare.
