Ueno's inventions are just an excuse to watch a genius girl get absolutely nowhere with her crush, over and over, in increasingly unhinged ways. The comedy lives in that gap between her brilliant problem-solving and her complete inability to read the room, which means every invention backfires spectacularly. If you're here for rapid-fire jokes about sexual mishaps and absurdist science gone wrong, the show knows exactly what it is and commits completely.

Ueno is a brilliant inventor in her third year of junior high, and she heads the school's science club. Her problem is that she has fallen hard for Tanaka, a second-year club member who is too oblivious to notice. Too nervous to simply confess, she turns her eccentric gadgets on him, hoping that flustering him with perverted situations will make him fall for her. Her stone-faced classmate Yamashita helps as a devoted wingwoman, yet every attempt ends in failure. The result is a short-format ecchi romantic comedy built on invention gags and one-sided longing.
