Isuca: Gokuraku picks up where the series left off: Sakuya and Shinichirou in close quarters, creatures as an excuse, and that pastel color palette making everything feel somehow both cute and unsettling at once. SYNOPSIS
Shinichirou continues his unlikely arrangement as live-in housekeeper and reluctant supernatural assistant to Sakuya, the young exorcist heir of the Shimazu family. Between managing household duties and helping contain creatures Sakuya keeps sealed away, he finds himself deeper in the chaos of her spirit-hunting life. The line between everyday domestic comedy and creature-catching chaos blurs as their partnership grows more complicated. What starts as simple housekeeping jobs spirals into ridiculous supernatural situations that test both their patience and their ability to work together without driving each other crazy. The OVA focuses on the comedic friction at the heart of their relationship: Shinichirou's growing involvement in Sakuya's world despite his resistance, and the genuine teamwork that emerges from their chaotic encounters.
