A girl tells her childhood friend she's only practicing on him so she doesn't have to admit she's actually in love with him. Then she starts dating someone else. Natsuki Enomoto, a third-year at Sakuragaoka High School, has long loved her childhood friend Yuu Setoguchi without saying so. When she finally works up the nerve to confess, embarrassment wins out at the last second, and she claims she was only rehearsing a confession with him as a stand-in. Yuu, unaware of how she really feels and wrestling with his own emotions, promises to back her in her search for love. As Natsuki keeps pretending she has no feelings for him, her shy classmate Koyuki Ayase, who is set on winning her heart, asks her on a date. Meanwhile, their close friends are caught up in unrequited and unspoken feelings of their own. This romantic slice-of-life drama film asks whether Natsuki will ever stop practicing and truly tell Yuu how she feels.
