A girl and her talking dog navigate the quiet devastation of a family falling apart, one ordinary day at a time. The wishes never fix what matters most, they just give Hiromi permission to feel small things while the world shifts around her. What stays with you isn't the fantasy premise; it's how completely this movie understands that a child's loneliness doesn't need spectacle to break you.

Sixth grader Hiromi Nozawa is growing up with the usual troubles of childhood: love, school and family. Her parents are busy with work and seldom home, so her closest companion is her dog Junkers, who can talk and handle human chores. Hiromi acts brave in public but confides her stress only in him. When she hears her parents may divorce, Junkers reveals that he can make three miracles happen. Hiromi has to choose her wishes with care, because getting what she thinks she wants could hurt the people she loves most. The film is a drama with fantasy and slice of life elements.
