Aiko is a 17-year-old girl who lives at a shrine and no longer has any dreams for her future. As a child she wanted to finish painting one of the shrine's sliding doors, which for some unexplained reason is only half painted. One day a strange man turns up before her, and her grandfather, the shrine's chief priest, lets him stay. Aiko objects at first, but she comes to see the kindness beneath the young man's blunt manner and gradually grows fond of him. Still, the question remains of who he truly is. This short supernatural film was made as one of four Anime Tamago 2016 projects for training young animators.
