The jet ski racing is just window dressing, this is about two girls who need each other and don't know it yet. Rin shows up alone and desperate to prove something to a dead mother, Misa shows up burned out and hollow, and the moment they're forced into a team, they actually start breathing again. The fanservice is relentless, sure, but it never gets in the way of watching two people become essential to each other.

Rin leaves her quiet fishing village behind to chase her mother's legacy: becoming a champion in Kandagawa Jet Racing, where teams of two race across water on jet skis while wielding pressurized water cannons against their opponents. It's equal parts motorsport and combat, and Rin's got raw talent that catches the eye of Misa, a burnt-out racer at her new Tokyo school. Misa's given up on her dreams, but Rin's arrival sparks something. Together they decide to rebuild their school's defunct Jet Riding Club from the ground up. What follows is competitive racing mixed with genuine friendship as they train relentlessly, master their machines, and face increasingly dangerous rivals. The water battles are ridiculous and often consequence-free in the fanservice department, but the core story stays focused on what drives these two forward: the thrill of speed, the bond between partners who trust each other completely, and the weight of pursuing something that matters. This is a show that takes jet ski racing seriously while never taking itself too seriously.
