Nobody talks about this one. The OVA strips away the original series' bloat and lets Rin and Misa actually exist together for once, their chemistry finally doing the heavy lifting instead of constantly cutting away to new characters. It's a single episode that understands what people actually wanted from Kandagawa Jet Girls: quieter moments between the two leads, better animation in the scenes that matter, and the confidence to let a relationship breathe without apologizing for it. The plot is basically a commercial for a PS4 game, but that constraint somehow freed the creators to focus on what made anyone care in the first place.

Rin and Misa are back on the water in this single-episode OVA, returning to the world of Kandagawa Jet Racing. In this sport, teams of girls ride jet skis and fire powerful water guns to slow their opponents, often blasting away clothing in the process. The episode accompanied the PS4 game release and was packaged as a bonus with its DX Jet Pack edition. Fans of the fall 2019 series get another helping of the franchise's blend of sports racing and ecchi fan service.
