A show about discount bento box street fights has no right to be this committed to the bit. The action sequences treat grocery store turf wars with the same dramatic weight as actual gang warfare, complete with rival crews, territory disputes, and protagonist origin stories. Welcome to the world of half-price bento warfare. Each night, when unsold boxed meals go on discount, the supermarket turns into a battlefield where fighters called Wolves clash for the food, and the losers are dismissed as Dogs. Yo's got no choice in the matter when Yarizui Sen, a second-year student and president of the Half-Priced Food Lovers Club, pulls him into her club. She sees strength in the kid who keeps getting flattened. What follows is a mix of action, comedy and ecchi that treats discounted lunch boxes as prizes worth brawling over, with fighters battling for pride, honor and a decent dinner.
