This is the epilogue that proves Trigger never stopped understanding what made Kill la Kill work in the first place: the absolute refusal to let a joke die before it's been milked for everything it has. The OVA doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is, leftover chaos that the main series didn't have room for, and commits to that premise with the same fearless energy that made the original 24 episodes feel like they were written by people who'd never heard the word "restraint." Peace has come back to Honnouji Academy, and with its original purpose fulfilled, the school will close within a month. One last event remains: graduation. The student council members get ready to move past who they were and look toward their futures, while Satsuki Kiryuuin, her resolve gone after finally winning, cannot find her own direction. Just before her speech, beings identical to the student council members crash the ceremony. Ryuuko Matoi and the Elite Four gear up to fight again and soon learn that an old enemy seeking revenge is behind the attack.
