Megumin finally gets the spotlight, and the show proves she's been carrying more weight than the main series ever let on. The comedy doesn't need Kazuma's straight-man desperation, it runs on her absolute conviction that blowing things up is a legitimate life strategy, and watching her defend that logic with zero irony never stops landing. First three episodes drag like they're afraid to commit, but once the Dark God plot kicks in, it finds the exact rhythm that makes Konosuba work: absurd stakes treated with complete seriousness, and a character so genuinely devoted to her terrible choices that you root for her anyway.
