A zombie cat shuffles through town and somehow makes everyone love it anyway. The show knows the joke isn't the resurrection, it's that something this wrong becomes the most comforting thing in the episode. Each five-minute segment is built to make you exhale, not gasp.
SYNOPSIS
A cat claws its way out of the ground and shuffles into town as an undead creature, rotting fur and all. You'd expect the locals to run screaming. Instead, something impossible happens: everyone falls for the shambling zombie cat the moment they see it. The disconnect is the entire joke. Here's this clearly deceased animal trailing grave dirt and supernatural stink, yet shop owners offer it food, kids want to pet it, and lonely townspeople see it as the companion they've been missing. The cat doesn't understand the attention or care about winning hearts. It just wanders, oblivious to its own grotesque state, while the people around it project warmth and meaning onto the walking corpse. Each short episode captures small moments of everyday life interrupted by this undead oddity. The comedy comes from watching normal people rationalize away something fundamentally wrong, clinging to the comfort the cat provides despite, or perhaps because of, its monstrousness. It's simultaneously silly and strangely touching: a story about how we see what we need to see in the things we love.
