Four washed-up heroes trying to pretend their old lives don't exist, until a pint-sized demon king shows up to ruin the bit. The joke is that nobody wants to be special anymore, they just want to drink coffee in Kyoto and exist quietly. When the movie refuses to let them have that peace, it finds something genuinely funny in the gap between who they were and who they're desperately trying to be.

Four heroes from another world now live quiet, reincarnated lives in present-day Kyoto. They once fought the demon lord Valvaran, who escaped their final battle by reincarnating into the modern world, and the warriors followed her there. Their calm is upended when Valvaran turns up as a precocious elementary schooler with demands of her own. In her small new body she hardly seems dangerous, and she even helps the group hunt down the scattered pieces of her power. As the heroes settle into easygoing days, their leader Arnelia wonders how long the peace can really last. The movie mixes comedy with fantasy.
