A boy marked red in a world of color hierarchy passes a girl night after night, and neither speaks, but her smile becomes the only language that matters. The animation doesn't move much, it doesn't need to. One wordless encounter in a segregated town says more about dignity and recognition than dialogue ever could, and the cell-shaded backgrounds hold that weight the entire time. In a town that ranks its people by color, a boy dressed in red sits at the very bottom of the social order. Each time he heads to his night high school classes, the same girl passes him on the way. Long ago she came across him as he scribbled something on a wall, and she grasped what his message meant. The smile she gave him then is the mystery at the heart of the story. After crossing paths countless times, the two pass each other once more. This short boy meets girl film with a musical focus is an independent CG work by director Tazawa Ushio of GOD×DOG PRODUCTION, and it earned the Visual Award at the 14th DoGA CG Animation Contest.
