Five handsome boys modeled on rice enroll at Kokuritsu Inaho Academy, a school close to shutting down, and team up as a new unit called Love Rice. Bread now rules Japanese dinner tables, led by Yeast King, the bread group that holds the HarveStars title. Love Rice rehearses to outshine them at the Harvest Show, a concert where the grains show off their charms, and to win back rice's lost popularity. The short comedy and music series plays the idea of singing grain for laughs while celebrating rice as Japan's soul food.
