This is a show about a dumb dog and a glassblower living quietly together, and it makes that enough. Twenty episodes of nothing happening, just Muco being confused by stairs and Komatsu-san existing in the same small space, watching the light change through his workshop windows. The show trusts that you don't need a plot or a conflict or a reason to care. You just watch a dog sleep. You watch a man blow glass. Something in that simplicity rewires you. Muco is an Akita dog who is not especially bright, and who spends each happy day alongside an owner, Komatsu-san, a glass-blower. Komatsu-san lives and works in a glass-making workshop up in the mountains, and the pair share an easygoing everyday routine there. The short episodes stay with these gentle, ordinary hours of dog and owner together. Adapted from Mizushina Takayuki's manga, the result is a relaxed slice-of-life piece about a simple, contented home.
