A boy gets a magical moon goddess girlfriend who takes "protection" so literally she destroys his life trying to save it. She means well. He is in constant, escalating chaos. The joke never gets old because Shaorin's oblivious devotion keeps finding new ways to misfire, and Tasuke's slow realization that having everything you want actually means having nothing you can control is genuinely funny, not just cute. This is a show that knows a good gag lives in the gap between intention and disaster. Watch it if you want comedy that doesn't need plot to work.
Tasuke Shichiri's parents are always off traveling, so he is free to do whatever he likes, and his friends envy him for it. What saves him from loneliness is an unexpected gift from his father: a strange ring called the shitenrin. From it emerges Shaorin, a moon goddess devoted to guarding her master, even when her efforts leave a trail of messes behind her. The show mixes comedy and romance with magical-girl elements.
