Uraraka finally gets to ask the question she's been holding for a decade, and Deku answers it like he actually understands what it cost her to wait. A single episode can't hold everything these characters deserve, but it holds the moment that matters. This is what you get for staying, not closure, but the thing closure was always supposed to be about.

Years after their war with villains and their graduation from UA Academy, the former members of Class 1-A have grown up and found their places in society. Uraraka helps guide a new generation of Quirk users as Quirk education expands across Japan, and she is content with how things are. Yet the memory of Himiko Toga reminds her of something important she has let slip amid her work. Midoriya, now teaching at UA Academy, is happier than ever. When the two join a reunion with their old classmates, both come to see what has been missing from their lives. This one-episode special brings the story forward into the quieter years that follow the fighting.
