A thirteen-year-old stumbles into protecting a ghost girl, and the show treats this impossible situation with the tenderness of a real summer romance. Natsu no Arashi refuses the easy path of making her supernatural nature the punchline, instead building genuine affection between two people who have completely different reasons for needing each other. The comedy lands hardest because it comes from character, not setup, and by episode five you've stopped asking how any of this makes sense and started asking whether Yasaka can actually keep her.

Yasaka arrives at his grandfather's house for summer break. His plans change the moment he meets Arashi, a striking girl working at a local shop, and a stranger turns up claiming her family has hired him to take her back by force. After helping her escape, Yasaka finds himself sheltering her under his grandfather's roof, and he quickly realizes Arashi is far from ordinary: she has mysterious powers, and she says she is a ghost. A photograph taken sixty years ago shows Arashi looking exactly as she does now. When a girl named Kaja, who also appears in that picture, suddenly shows up unchanged as well, Yasaka's summer turns bewildering. The show mixes comedy, fantasy and romance as Yasaka is pulled deeper into Arashi's past.
