Kosaku's depression over a retired idol gets interrupted by her sudden appearance in his agriculture class, and the show never wastes a second pretending this setup matters for anything except comedy. The slapstick lands because the cast actually has personality underneath the chaos, not just wacky archetypes running gags into the ground. It's a show that understands the joke is funnier when the person delivering it is someone you actually care about watching get destroyed.

Kosaku's life hits rock bottom when his favorite idol, Yuka Kusakabe, suddenly retires at the height of her career. Sunk in depression, he shuts himself away until his classmates finally coax him back to Tamo Agriculture School. That's when the impossible happens: Yuka herself transfers into his class, going by the name Ringo Kinoshita. Kosaku sees a once-in-a-lifetime chance to get close to the girl of his dreams. Backed by his teacher and friends, he sets out to win her over and learn why she walked away from show business. The result is a comedy with romance and a dose of ecchi humor.
