SYNOPSIS
Edo's pleasure quarters pulse with danger when Usugumo, a celebrated courtesan harboring a forbidden bloodline, crosses paths with Kikunosuke, a blond-haired thief with his own secrets. Their chance meeting ignites something unexpected. Usugumo abandons her gilded cage to join Kikunosuke's unlikely crew: a doctor practicing revolutionary Western medicine and a sharp-eyed cat with more intuition than most people. Together they become the Kikugumi, stealing not just gold but answers to questions no one dares ask aloud. But Edo in the Kyouhou era isn't kind to those who step out of line.
