You watch Vivi choose her country over the crew, then watch the crew choose her anyway. The Alabasta arc distilled into two hours moves faster than the manga breathed, but it doesn't skip the weight, every decision costs something, every betrayal lands because you've already learned to care. This is One Piece at its most human: not about becoming the strongest or finding treasure, but about standing next to someone when the world wants them to stand alone.

This film retells the Alabasta arc of One Piece. The desert kingdom of Alabasta is sliding toward revolution, but Princess Nefertari Vivi and the Straw Hat Pirates know the unrest is a plot devised by Crocodile. The Baroque Works pirate organization has been working against the kingdom to steal the secrets of an ancient weapon of mass destruction. As events spiral out of control, Monkey D. Luffy and Vivi must stop the revolution before the nation falls apart entirely.
