Season 2 builds an entire world where his decisions ripple outward through Lizardmen politics, adventurer guild machinations, and his own subordinates' ambitions, each arc interconnected in ways that only reveal themselves across episodes. You watch a god-like villain slowly realize he's just as trapped by his own reputation as any human would be by mortality.

Ainz Ooal Gown, the undead sorcerer once known as Momonga, has settled into the new world that resembles his old virtual reality game Yggdrasil, and his ambitions reach far beyond Nazarick's walls. As ruler of the Great Tomb of Nazarick, he begins laying the groundwork for conquest while taking on missions as the adamantite adventurer Momon. A lizardman tribe uprising adds to his workload. The earlier brainwashing of one of his subordinates has left him wary of the Slane Theocracy and of other former Yggdrasil players who may be out there. Meanwhile Albedo, Demiurge and his other loyal guardians prepare for Nazarick's first war. Picking up right where the first season ended, this action fantasy follows Ainz, his human-hating guardians and the unlucky humans caught up in his rise.
