Anime Like Gate
The Ginza Incident strips away every fantasy isekai comfort zone in the first episode: modern soldiers with real bullets against medieval knights, and nobody pretends it's fair. Youji keeps an otaku's pragmatism the entire time, which means no speeches about chosen ones, just a guy figuring out how to keep his unit alive in a world that operates on completely different rules. SYNOPSIS
A dimensional rift tears open in the heart of Tokyo, and out pours an army of medieval warriors, monsters, and creatures that shouldn't exist. The sudden invasion leaves the city reeling, forcing Japan's Self-Defense Forces to mount an immediate response. When soldiers cross through the gate into this alien world, they discover a landscape ruled by magic and ancient powers, where villages crumble under dragon fire and survival means adapting to rules that defy modern warfare. Leading the charge is Youji, a soldier whose obsession with fantasy culture somehow makes him the perfect guide for this impossible situation. As the team pushes deeper into unfamiliar territory, they encounter an elf warrior named Rory, one of few survivors from a dragon attack that devastated her people. What begins as a reconnaissance mission becomes something far more complicated: a collision between two worlds with incompatible rules, where bullets meet swords and diplomacy becomes as dangerous as combat. The series balances military strategy with high-stakes adventure, asking what happens when modern soldiers face medieval magic and discover that returning home might be harder than they thought.
