Nobody expects the Overlord chibi spinoff to actually understand the characters better than the main show. Albedo's obsession, Demiurge's performative evil, Nazarick's bureaucratic absurdity, all of it lands harder when they're compressed into 3-minute sprints with zero budget. The comedy works because it trusts you already know these people; it's not explaining, it's just watching them fail at normal tasks in the worst possible ways.

The cast of Overlord shrinks down to super-deformed proportions again for another round of comedy shorts. Across 13 episodes, these ONA parodies poke fun at the events of Overlord II, trading the fantasy action of the main story for playful gags. Following the earlier Ple Ple Pleiades specials, this batch was streamed on Kadokawa's official YouTube channel, and the humor lands best for viewers who already know the main series.
