SYNOPSIS
Phoenix Wright returns to work at his law office in Japan when a panicked call disrupts his routine. His old friend Maya Fey, currently studying spiritual mediumship in the foreign nation of Khura'in, reaches out with an urgent message that suggests she's in serious trouble. The call cuts off before Phoenix can learn what's actually happening. Khura'in operates under a completely different legal system than Japan. There are no defense attorneys here. Instead, spirit mediums called oracles determine the outcome of every trial through supernatural means. Justice isn't argued in court; it's divined by spiritual power. This makes the country a dangerous place for someone like Maya, who comes from a family of mediums but isn't bound by Khura'in's rigid traditions. Phoenix must figure out what's really going on across the ocean and decide whether to risk traveling to a nation where his skills as a lawyer mean nothing.
