Pikachu and Piplup get lost in a dimension where nothing makes sense and nobody can help them, so they're forced to actually talk to each other instead of just existing in the same frame. It's a Pokémon special that has no interest in battles or training or any of the franchise machinery, just two small creatures trying to find their way home through absurdity. The whole thing moves at the speed of a dream, quiet and strange, with a Marill singing desperately in the background because even lost Pokémon have needs nobody's listening to.

Pikachu and Piplup are let out to play by their trainers, but they end up apart from their Pokémon friends and travel with a Skitty into a strange dimension. There, the trio helps an Unknown search for its herd. They do not realize they have company: Croagunk, Team Rocket's Pokémon and a Marill who badly wants someone to listen to her sing are all trailing behind them. The one-episode special is a lighthearted adventure with comedy and fantasy elements. It aired on All Nippon Airways flights in August 2010 to promote the Zoroark movie and came out on DVD in July 2011.
