A 22-minute argument between Pikachu and a mischievous Cleffa over hide-and-seek rules becomes something gentler than you expect. The show knows exactly what it is: no world-threatening stakes, no forced sentimentality, just Pokémon being funny with each other in ways that feel earned instead of cute-maxed. Watch it with someone small, or alone when you need to remember why you started caring about these creatures in the first place.

While playing on a beach, Pikachu and his Pokémon friends notice a mansion close by and wander over to find something fun to do. On the grounds they run into Yogiras, a stuffy Pokémon who keeps the house and its garden in order. Despite his grumbling, his own companions and Pikachu's group launch into a lively game of hide and seek. When a frustrated Yogiras kicks a rock, it strikes a lawnmower and sends the machine rolling after the Pokémon. With everyone in danger, Pikachu, Yogiras and their friends have to team up to protect one another in this short comedic adventure special.
