Pole Princess!! refuses to let you see pole dancing the way you walked in. It builds something quiet and specific: girls discovering an art form everyone else dismisses, then choosing to get genuinely good at it. The CG is rough, genuinely distracting, but eight episodes later you're watching a 17-year-old nail a combination she spent weeks failing, and it hits because the show never once apologized for caring about this thing nobody else takes seriously.

Hinano Hoshikita is a quiet, ordinary seventeen-year-old who has adored her grandmother's planetarium since childhood, so the news that it will shut down hits her hard. One night she sees a woman performing on a pole beneath the stars and decides a show like that could bring visitors back. With her childhood friend Lilia, she finds the dancer, Azumi, at her studio near the station, but Azumi is about to close the school. She agrees to teach them if they can bring in four students to cover the rent. A music, sports and slice of life coming-of-age story about girls whose lives change once they discover pole dancing.
