It makes you take pole dancing seriously as a sport, which is exactly the reaction the show was built to provoke. Hinano Hoshikita fell into it by pure accident at 17, and the whole franchise runs on that specific thrill of a girl discovering her body can do something she never asked it to. The TV run kept the tone light on purpose, no tragic backstories, no rival who exists to be cruel, just grip strength, bruises, and the slow arithmetic of getting one rotation cleaner than yesterday. The movie is the victory lap for anyone who stuck with the girls through the prologue and watched them stop apologizing for the sport they picked. If you have ever practiced something nobody around you understood, Hinano's stubbornness reads less like anime and more like a mirror.

Pole Princess!! Movie is a 2023 music, slice of life and sports movie from Tatsunoko Production.
