This DVD-only special episode of REC, titled "The Unforgiven," sits between episodes 7 and 8 of the original run. Fumihiko Matsumaru heads out for a meal with his roommate Aka Onda and runs into Tanaka, a coworker from accounting who once stood him up. Tanaka has just been dumped by her boyfriend and insists that Fumihiko drink with her, which makes Aka jealous. When he takes the drunk Tanaka home and ends up caring for her all night, Aka grows suspicious, and Fumihiko has to find a way to clear up the misunderstanding in a story that mixes comedy, drama and romance.
