Long after the One-Year War of the original Mobile Suit Gundam, a huge ring some 600 kilometers across floats in orbit around the moon. Eiji, a member of the Earth Federation Forces, finds an object known as Beauty Memory buried in an enormous rockbed high above the ground on Earth. Beauty Memory is said to hold the memories of all mankind, and Eiji's search for it takes him to the Ring Colony. There, on a hilltop, he meets Beauty, who tells him he must obtain Amuro's Legacy before the data can be deciphered. His quest to find the key to mankind's salvation goes on from there. This single-episode mecha special was made for Gundam's 30th anniversary and first shown at the Gundam Big Expo.
