SYNOPSIS
Subaru's basketball dreams crumble when his high school team gets shut down over a scandal. Just when he's ready to quit the sport entirely, his aunt throws him a lifeline: coach a local elementary school girls' basketball team that's barely holding together. These kids are rough around the edges, unmotivated, and frankly terrible at the game. Subaru has to figure out how to turn them into an actual competitive squad while managing his own disappointment and ego. What starts as a desperate coaching gig becomes something unexpected. Training these girls forces Subaru to rediscover why he loved basketball in the first place. The team's scrappy energy and gradual improvement pull him back into the sport from a completely different angle than he imagined.
