SYNOPSIS
Centuries of peace shatter when a resurrected darkness begins spreading across Togenkyo. The ancient demon Gyumaoh, sealed away long ago, is stirring back to life, and his awakening sends out a wave of corrupting energy that turns youkai violent and uncontrollable. Humanity faces obliteration unless someone stops what's coming. Four unlikely allies get sent westward on a mission that could be their last: Son Goku, a carefree warrior with a troubled past; Genjou Sanzou, a Buddhist monk with an itchy trigger finger; Sha Gojyo, a womanizing gambler with secrets to keep; and Cho Hakkai, the polite one hiding something far darker beneath his composure. Together they race against time to reach the source of this catastrophe and seal away Gyumaoh before his return becomes absolute. The road west tests their bonds constantly. Between battling corrupted monsters, confronting their own demons, and uncovering connections to a war that nearly destroyed everything, these four discover that saving the world might cost them everything they are.
